Meet Dr. Wood

I am Stephen Wood, the Program Chair of Ocean Engineering program in the Department of Marine and Environmental Systems (College of Engineering, Florida Institute of Technology). My teaching and research interests are in Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASV), Remotely Operated Vehicles (ROV), and Ocean Energy. Ocean Engineering at Florida Tech encompasses the broad range of ocean-related engineering disciplines. In addition to Underwater Technologies, we offer Naval Architecture, Coastal Engineering, Offshore Engineering, Materials and Instrumentation. In this blog, I share a variety of our Ocean Engineering activities, including courses I teach, and my research in the areas of ocean vehicles and ocean energy.
