The old expression is that music “soothes the soul.” It also broadens the mind. That’s why it’s so important that students entering the science and engineering fields have that artistic outlet, and why Florida Tech remains committed to educating the “whole brain,” as we expand our musical education opportunities.
A fun outlet of this idea is our all faculty and staff band, TWITCHY. Originally formed in 2008, TWITCHY is continuing to entertain, and raise money for the Florida Tech music program. We hope you’ll join us for a free concert at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11, as we release our second album, “Hey Mr. Professor.”
TWITCHY has turned to all original tunes. Written by the band members, these 11 musical pieces deliver life, love and a laugh or two.
We hope to see you in Gleason Thursday night. And the beat goes on!
